Weekend Meditation Retreat | Carcoar | April 13-15

Escape the stress and busyness of life and discover the peace of meditation. Be guided through beautiful meditations that relax the mind and body, leading to a deep experience of inner peace and contentment.

The weekend begins on the Friday evening and finishes with lunch on Sunday. The retreat will be led by Gen Kelsang Dawa, a western Buddhist monk with over 10 years experience of guiding retreat.

Retreat fees for the weekend are $320 based on shared option, which includes all retreat sessions, accommodation and all meals (vegetarian). Single accommodation avaliable via enquiry.

Booking is essential, and a deposit of $100 is required at the time of booking.

The Teacher

Gen Kelsang Dawa is a western Kadampa Buddhist monk and the resident teacher at Khedrubje Kadampa Buddhist Centre.

He has been a student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 15 years and taught Kadampa Buddhism for over 10 years in the UK and Australia. His gentle manner and kind heart exemplify the Buddhist way of life.

Gen Dawa teaches most of the classes in the Central Coast and Central West areas.

The Venue

Converted from an old boarding school and convent, the manor overlooks the picturesque town of Carcoar, a hidden treasure.

Wake to fresh scents of the valley, songs of native birds and enjoy pleasant walks around the local town and surrounding hills.

Approximately forty minutes south of Orange and Bathurst.

(Shalom is a 4 hour drive from the Central Coast).
